Description

The duration of use depends on the type of complaints and/or the course of the disease. In principle, the duration of the application is not limited in time, the drug should be used in the long term.

Overdose?
With an overdose, there may be nausea and discomfort. If you suspect an overdose, contact a doctor immediately.

Forgot to take it?
Continue the intake as normal at the next prescribed time (not with the double quantity).

In general, pay attention to a conscientious dosage especially in infants, toddlers and older people. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist about any effects or precautionary measures.

A dosage prescribed by the doctor may differ from the information on the package insert. Since the doctor coordinates you individually, you should therefore apply the medicine according to his instructions.

Dosage
The following dosage recommendations are given – the dosage for your special illness is best discussed with your doctor:
With increased fat concentration in the blood:
Adult 1 Capsule 2 times a day for the meal
With increased fat concentration in the blood: If necessary, the single dose can be increased to 4 capsules per day.

Application areas

The medicine is primarily given if the diet or other measures to reduce blood lipid levels, such as physical training, alone are not sufficient.

Mode of action

How does the ingredient of the medicine work?

The active ingredient lowers the blood fat level by hindering the body’s own manufacture of certain fats in the liver, so -called neutral fats or triglycerides. The proportion of fats circulating in the bloodstream is thus reduced and their attachment to the inner walls (“calcification”) is reduced.

What speaks against an application?

Always:
– Hypersensitivity to the ingredients
Under certain circumstances – speak to your doctor or pharmacist:
– Limited kidney function
– Restricted liver function, such as:
– Cirrhosis of the liver (damage to the liver tissue)
Which age group must be observed?
– Children and adolescents under the age of 18: The drug should generally not be used in this age group.
– Older patients from the age of 70: The drug may only be applied after consultation with a doctor or under medical check.
What about pregnancy and lactation?
– Pregnancy: Contact your doctor. Various considerations play a role in whether and how the medicine can be used during pregnancy.
– Breastfeeding: An application is advised against current knowledge. You may be to consider a weaning.
If the medicine has been prescribed to you despite a counter -notification, speak to your doctor or pharmacist. The therapeutic benefit can be higher than the risk of using the application.
